Course Overview

The Settling-In Programme (SIP) is a 1-day orientation programme for first-time foreign domestic workers (FDWs) to educate them on safety precautions and living in Singapore.

Course Duration

Training / Lecture Hours: 8 hours (9am to 6pm)

Course Outline

It will cover five modules:

  • Introduction to working in Singapore
  • Conditions of Employment (Rights and Responsibilities)
  • Working Safely at Home
  • Safety in Other Areas
  • Relationship and Stress Management

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

Certificate of Completion will be issued by NTUC LearningHub.

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to have the knowledge and skills of:

  • Safety in Other Areas
  • Relationship and Stress Management

Pre-requisites

You will need to submit the following documents for registration:

  • In-principle approval (IPA) letter (full set)
  • The FDW's passport
  • A copy of the FDWs educational certificate
  • Disembarkation Card
