This training programme is suitable for process owners who are tasked by the management to play the project team leader role in the Lean Sigma deployment programme or any process improvement initiative.

Course Outline

This is a practical oriented training. The concept behind this training approach is Explain-Practice-Apply-Review. The training supports the transfer of knowledge on team facilitation, DMAIC methodology, tools and techniques, Lean principles and project review. This programme consists of two instruction sessions conducted over a period of two months (1 week per month). In these two sessions, training and practical support will be provided to the participants to ensure that they can apply and practice the methods and tools during the syndicated exercises.

Mode of Assessment

Examination at the end of the course
Project Work to be submitted 6 months after completion of training 

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

Completion of Green Belt Training with minimum 80% attendance
Passing the examination at the end of the course
Completion of 1 project and submission of project report for evaluation

Course Objectives

This programme provides participants with a thorough exposure to the tools and methods to successfully drive quality, speed and cost simultaneously for manufacturing and service organisations.

The objective of the Lean Sigma Green Belt training program is to develop effective practitioners of the Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools to drive improvement within the organisation. Upon completion of this training, the participants will be able to:

Pre-requisites

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the current organization
  • Able to comprehend statistics
  • Project management experience preferred
