Course Summary

Mode of Assessment

 

Participants must complete an in-class assessment, which will comprise of Practical Performance (Case Study), Written Questions and Oral Questions.

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

1.  Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub

Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub will be issued to participants who have met at least 75% attendance and passed the prescribed assessment(s).

2.  Statement of Attainment from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), Statement of Attainment (SOAs) will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to certify that the participant has achieved the following Competency Standard(s):

 

  • Programme Management (IT-PMT-T-PMT-4002-1.1)

 3.  External Certification Exam

This course will prepare participants to sit for official PMP certification exam.

Participants are required to obtain 35 contact hours of formal project management education to sit for the official PMP examination. This can be achieved by taking this 5 Days / 40 Hours course.

 

Once you are eligible to take the official certification exam, PMI will notify you by e-mail and send you examination scheduling instructions.

Course Objectives

This course enables participants to:

 

  • Be responsible for all aspects of the project for the life of the project
  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects
  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to apply a methodology to projects
  • Complete work on time and on budget in an environment which reinforces alignment with organisational strategy

Pre-requisites

No credit or certification pre-requisites required to attend this course. 

However, to sit for the official PMP certification exam, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

Degree Holder:

 

  • 4,500 hours of project management experience spent leading and directing project(s)
  • 3 years of project management experience within 6 years prior to application

 

Diploma Holder:

 

  • 7,500 hours of project management experience spent leading and directing project(s)
  • 5 years of project management experience within 8 years prior to experience

 

 

Participants who do not meet the above criteria but would like to achieve a globally recognised Project Management certification may consider NICF - Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) (SF)
