Course Overview

Strong HR practices and implementation strategies involve organisational planning to achieve success and create value for stakeholders. HR demonstrates value by contributing its perspective and expertise to development of the enterprise strategy, and by developing, implementing, and evaluating an HR strategy aligned with the organisations goals, values, and tactics, as defined in the enterprise strategy. A case study is used to reinforce the learning objectives.

Assessment will be made up of:

  • Written Assessment (15 minutes)
  • 1 Case Study (105 minutes)

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme, learners will be able to:

  • Define and describe organisational strategy and recognise the major components of a good organisational strategy.
  • Create an HR strategy that is linked to an organisational strategy.
  • Create an HR strategy implementation plan in order to execute strategy.
  • Identify metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation.
  • Analyse the trends in HR Technology and Inclusive & Progressive HR practices to create similar practices as part of the HR strategy.

Pre-requisites

Learners are assumed to able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.
