Understanding of Digital Risk
The digital revolution has allowed organisations to conduct business in completely different manners, and this has led to mass changes in the regulatory landscape, most particularly in the financial space. Many companies like Uber, AirBnB, MoBike have been operating in many countries, at times even defying regulations to start in countries where they were initially barred from.
In Singapore, the MAS has pushed through a slew of regulations to help accelerate the process of obtaining licenses and approvals for new startups. This course will equip learners with a good understanding of regulations and the risks involved - regardless of whether you are building a FinTech or RegTech startup.
Who Should Attend
Aspiring PMEs whom are looking to enter the area of FinTech and wish to learn the basics of what FinTech is about.
Half Day Program ( 3 HRS )
On completion this course, participants should be able to understand the following:
Identify regulatory and legal issues that is faced by the FinTech industry as a whole.
Learn how regulations can spur innovation and act as a catalyst for innovation in the financial services industry
Know the risks of digital strategies and its importance.
Identify and reduce the impact of risks arising from digital strategies.
Review case studies of companies which defied initial regulations to start up in countries.
To ensure a holistic learning experience, participants must attend Understanding of Regulations and RegTech prior to this programme.
